La vecchia Taylor Swift non c’è più, e lei stessa a dirlo e chi ha seguito le vicende che l’hanno vista coinvolta in questi ultimi anni sa bene anche perché.
Nei giorni scorsi la cantante ha annunciato l’uscita del suo nuovo album, “Reputation“, e fin dal titolo si capiva dove sarebbe andata a parare. Taylor Swift ha lanciato il suo nuovo video ai VMAs, quest’anno condotti dalla sua acerrima nemica, Katy Perry. Di persone che non la stimano ce ne sono tante, le più celebri forse sono Kim Kardashian e Kanye West. Nei giorni scorsi, in occasione del lancio del nuovo singolo “Look what you made me do” erano comparsi serpenti sui social della popstar, un chiaro riferimento a quanto Kim Kardashian aveva detto di lei in passato, definendola una vipera. La sua risposta a tutte le critiche che l’hanno travolta è arrivata con questo brano e un video piuttosto esplicativo.
I toni sono più dark e il cambiamento si vede eccome: Taylor Swift in versione zombie in un cimitero, laddove giace la sua reputazione. Nel video la cantante indossa una maglia con la scritta “I <3 T. S.“, quella che aveva fatto impazzire i fan ai tempi della sua storia d’amore con Tom Hiddleston. Durata solo tre mesi, era nata sulle ceneri della storia con Calvin Harris che, poverino, non si aspettava di essere rimpiazzato così rapidamente. L’attore britannico aveva indossato quella maglietta per gioco ma la notizia della sua relazione con la Swift aveva generato una vera e propria ossessione nei loro confronti. Taylor Swift è rinchiusa in una gabbia dorata, sulla sua coscia si vede chiaramente il tatuaggio che ritrae un serpente. “Non mi piace il vostro crimine perfetto e come ridete quando mentite e dite che la pistola era la mia“. Il riferimento a Katy Perry potrebbe essere invece quello della tigre, si vede su un’altra maglietta indossata da Taylor Swift ma in realtà anche attraverso il testo è chiaro che la cantante si sia tolta qualche sassolino dalla scarpa. Negli ultimi tempi si era un po’ allontanata dai riflettori per evitare la forte pressione mediatica, ora però dovrà fare i conti con critiche ed elogi in vista della prossima release. “Io penso solo al karma“, canta Taylor Swift, e chiosa: “Io avrò il mio e voi avrete il vostro“.
