La lista dei vincitori dei Grammy 2020

La 62esima edizione della cerimonia dei Grammy, che si è tenuta lo scorso 26 gennaio allo Staples Center di Los Angeles, ha visto la giovane cantautrice di casa 18enne Billie Eilish trionfare, vincendo in tutte le principali categorie in cui era stata inserita, ovvero miglior artista esordiente, miglior album dell’anno (“When We Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?“), miglior canzone dell’anno e miglior registrazione dell’anno (“Bad Guy“).

La festa è stata però improntata al ricordo di Kobe Bryant, stella del basket morto prematuramente in un incidente in elicottero assieme alla figlie 13enne Gianna e stella dei Los Angeles Lakers, la squadra di casa. Sullo sfondo dello Staples Center, che ha ospitato la cerimonia, campeggiavano i numeri 8 e 24, i numeri delle maglie con i quali aveva giocato, e un minuto di silenzio è stato osservato durante l’assegnazione dei premi minori e non trasmessa in televisione. Lizzo, dando il via alla cerimonia ufficiale, ha dichiarato “Questa notte è per Kobe“, mentre una commossa Alicia Keys, per l’occasione presentatrice, ha improvvisato la canzone “It’s So Hard to Say Goodbye to Yesterday” insieme ai Boyz II Men: “Siamo con il cuore spezzato, letteralmente nella casa che Kobe Bryant ha costruito. Non avremmo mai immaginato in un milione di anni che avremmo dovuto iniziare lo spettacolo in questo modo. Los Angeles oggi ha perso un eroe“.

La serata ha visto anche le perfomances della stessa Eilish, di Ariana Grande, di Lizzo, degli Aerosmith (senza il batterista Joey Kramer) e di Lil Nas X che si è esibito sul palco cantando il suo brano “Old Town Road” insieme a vari artisti tra cui Diplo, Billy Ray Cyrus e i BTS.
