Si sono svolti ieri 23 Febbraio presso la O2 Academy Brixton di Londra, gli Nme Awards, le premiazioni per la musica conferiti annualmente dalla rivista musicale NME. A trionfare sono stati i My Chemical Romance che ha ha portato a casa due premi: Il Best Internationale Band e il Best Video per “Na Na Na (Na Na Na Na Na Na Na Na Na)“.
I Muse va invece sono stati nominati Miglior Band Britannica, conquistando l’ambito premio per il secondo anno di seguito, mentre Matt Bellamy, frontaman della band si è aggiudicato anche la statuetta come Sexies Male del 2011, per la quarta volta nella sua carriera. Tocca agli Arcade Fire invece il premio come Miglior Album per “The Suburbs“. Anche Dave Grohl, frontman dei Foo Fighters, non è tornato a casa a mani vuoti, a lui va il Godlike Genius.
